The rooms at Hotel Schweizerhaus are individually furnished and have a cozy and homely feel. As a karaoke and casino enthusiast, I loved the fact that certain rooms had a seating area for added comfort and relaxation. The double room I stayed in had a flat-screen TV, which was perfect for unwinding after a day of fun activities. Plus, the free Wi-Fi and telephone were convenient for staying connected.

Personally, I found it a bit inconvenient that the sink, shower, and toilet were separate and located in two bathrooms in the hallway. However, I understand that this setup may still suit other guests' preferences and needs.

Our room was upgraded to one with a private bathroom free of charge, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast, served by the amazing hostess, was absolutely mind-blowing and easily beats some high-end restaurants. The hotel is well-run and conveniently located near cycle routes, with good parking and a quiet atmosphere. It's also within walking distance of the city and there is a quick bus option. The old building is charming, the room and bathroom were clean, and the owner was kind and friendly. Late arrival was not a problem thanks to a convenient key box. a super experience with great amenities like free Wi-Fi, parking, luggage storage, and even welcome drink. The flat-screen TV and electric kettle in the room were a nice touch, and it's worth mentioning that cots and board games were available as well. Lastly, it was a relief that the hotel doesn't allow pets, although pet amenities were provided for those who needed them. And of course, no smoking was allowed on site.

Overpowering smell of air freshener in reception.

I had a great stay at a cozy and quiet hotel with an excellent breakfast. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good. I especially enjoyed the lovely, traditional decor of the hotel. The on-site parking was convenient and the TV in the room was a nice touch. The friendly owner recommended a small town for me to visit, which was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Schweizerhaus was fantastic. The location was perfect for us, as it was a short drive from the port of Travemunde where we arrived from the ship. The self-service check-in made it easy for us to settle in, even though we arrived late. We appreciated the convenience of the free on-site parking, as we were traveling by car. The bathrooms in the corridors were impressively clean and well maintained. The breakfast provided was sufficient and enjoyable. This was our second time staying at Schweizerhaus, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers who are continuing their journey the next day.
